What is Robo Compass?
An independent bilingual comparison site supporting informed robot purchases and deployment. Starting with humanoids, we examine capabilities, limitations, costs, maintenance, manufacturer continuity and development freedom where verified sources are available. Waiting or not buying can be the right decision. We are not the manufacturer of listed robots.
How is AI used?
AI assists with source discovery, organization and bilingual writing. TA9N（合資会社たっきゅん） operates the site and is responsible for its editorial policy. Source-linked reporting is distinguished from independent hands-on testing. Corrections are welcome at info@ta9n.co.jp.
How are specifications verified?
Manufacturer product pages, official documentation and official repositories are the primary sources. Each profile links to its source and records the check date. Manufacturer-stated values are not our independent laboratory measurements. Unknown values remain unspecified.
How should DoF and torque be compared?
DoF counts independent motions, not angular range. Hand DoF, active joints and whole-body DoF may use different counting conventions. Torque can be peak or continuous and may apply to one module or joint. Profile notes preserve these conditions.
Are all listed robots fully autonomous?
No. Autonomous capabilities, remote operation, developer access and manufacturer AI learning are different. Service providers and wheeled humanoids are clearly labeled.
What does open source mean here?
The profile identifies the published scope and links to repositories and applicable licenses. Public SDKs or model assets do not automatically mean open hardware. Licenses can differ by subsystem.
How are prices handled?
Retail prices, unassembled kits, self-build costs, deposits and recurring service fees are distinct. Non-USD prices are not converted using an assumed exchange rate. Taxes, shipping and regional availability require confirmation.
Advertising and partnerships
AdSense and affiliate tracking are not currently active. Future advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial coverage.
Privacy
Custom analytics and advertising cookies are not enabled. Hosting services may process request information to deliver and protect the site. The editor area uses Sign in with ChatGPT. If you contact us by email, TA9N uses the information supplied to answer and handle your request. Privacy questions and correction/deletion requests can be sent to info@ta9n.co.jp. External services apply their own policies. This page will be updated before advertising or analytics is enabled.
